Como eu faço ?

Olá ! Postei nas comunidades de aupair sobre a disney cruise line estar precisando de pessoas que falam português e choveu perguntas , aí resolvi dar uma resumida aqui , pq  nem sempre tenho net e tempo disponível pra responder todo mundo. Então vamos lá !

Como se candidatar ?
 Qd eu me candidatei abril de 2013 , existia uma agencia no Brasil  chamada open seas, mas ela fechou, então agora eh tudo feito online ! No site da  www.dcljobs.com diz como fazer isso .

Não exige taxa de agencia , ou seja aplicar eh de grátis! Se alguém tentar te cobrar desconfie !

Eles pedem  um CV em inglês pra ser analisado ,  todo os pre requisitos estão no mesmo site!

Se gostarem marcarão uma entrevista vis skype , alguns dias depois vc terá a resposta desta entrevista , se passar ótimos os emprego é praticamente seu .

Depois disso eles ligam para todas suas referências ! TODAS mesmo , nem todas as referências precisam falar inglês,

Depois vem. Parte dos exames médicos , são  MUITOS , eles te dão uma lista , eu fiz particular com a premedical , eles são fazem exames pra cruiseiros, fiz particular , foi por volta de 500 reais , mas qd cheguei a bordo eu fui reembolsada .

Exames aprovados eh a hora dos visto , a disney te manda documentos oficiais via correio , pra vc ir no consulado e eles tb reembolsam os gastos com o visto!

Visto aprovado , eh só esperar pra embarcar , claro que eles tb bancam suas passagem !

E antes de embArcar todos passam pelo Traditions, 4 dias no resort aprendendo o jeito disney de ser ! Com direito a backstage da Disney e horas offs para aproveitar os parques !

Feito tudo isso, vc embaraça no seu navio escolhido , a disney tem 4 cruiseiros com itinerário diferentes !

Oque eu faço aqui ?

Sou Youth activities counselour !  Recredadora infantil/teacher /caregiver / entretenimento uahsuahsuahsuahs

Amo , adoro ter festas com personagens , passear com o mickey , sticth e etc, um sonho , mas tb somo responsáveis pela limpeza dos espaços e segurança das kids.

Porém , se vc era aupair reclamona que achava que sua vida era muito difícil , esqueça , minha vida de aupair não serviu nem de ensaio para o que eh isso aqui , muito mais puxado e cansativo, já que não existe day off, o contrato dura 4 meses , e vc trabalha por 4 meses , praticamente 10 horas por dia ! Uns dias mais outros menos , agora mesmo estou em um break de 3 horas , acabei de vir da ilha da disney nas Bahamas , (sim , trabalhamos fora do navio tb) , preciso tomar banho , me trocar e voltar ao trabalho no navio.

O cansaço físico acaba com vc se vc nao tiver disciplina e só party hard . Se vc acha que conheceu gente de todo mundo sendo aupair , espere ateh trabalhar em um navio ! Vc vai amar pessoas , odiar outras , ter lugar pra ficar praticamente em todo lugar do mundo ! Fazer amigos pra vida toda!

Estou terminando meu terceiro contrato ! E volto pra mais um , e assim vou fazendo até eu não quiser mais ! Tenho fotos no face e tudo mais ! Dêem uma olhada

Visa and some updates!

Hey guys!

So yesterday I had my visa interview here in Sao Paulo, even though this was my third American visa , I was very nervous, as usual, maybe because this one interview has the power to end everything in a blink of the eye, 

I came back to Brazil in April from the US, and I thought that maybe this would give me some trouble, but it didn't, because I left the country before my status expired , the immigration allowed me to stay for six months and I did, anyways... 

The interview was very fast, and after I said I was an aupair  it was all in English, the only thing I can remember for sure is the sentence "your visa was approved" haha

Now I just have to wait for my tickets, and go, in  month from today I'll be boarding the Dream! 

Updates: 

Disney will give me my Uniform (they even do your laundry for you), but we have to bring white shoes and sandals, good shoes here in brazil are very expensive, but I got a pair of  white leather  Converse, some people said to bring kendal stockings to avoid varicose vains, that might appear  from standing for more than 12 hours, well, I was/am a teacher, I'm used to that, but I gotta say that this scared me a bit haha, I'll take them , better safe than sorry, I don't want to come back with my legs looking like a road map. lol 

I'm having some trouble finding the sandals, first because I hate my feet, they look like monkey feet, not joking, and the ones I found are too ugly, I'm hoping they will have something to sell on the ship.

Hi guys! yesterday I found out that I'm leaving Brazil in August 14th, and my embark date on the Dream is August 18th. I'll have the traditions( Training)  at DISNEY WORLD! *.* . I've always wanted to go there, when I lived in the US I only had the chance to go to Disneyland in California.

Now it's official!

Yes yes! After a lot of waiting and troubles with my medical exams,  I finally have the date and know which ship I'm going to,  AUGUST 18th ON THE DREAM! !! Yey! ! I really wanted to go on the dream or the fantasy, they have the aquaduck, a water slide that goes "out" of the ship. The dream is the third disney cruise ship. It was built in 2010, so it's brand new! !! Disney cruise line has 4 different cruises,  they are,  by size order , magic, wonder, dream, and fantasy,  my itinerary will be basically, port carnaveral, nassau bahamas , and castway cay, (disney's Private  island). I really can't wait!!!! The next step will be the American visa, but I guess I won't have any problems with that,  since this will be my third one.

Hi again!

Yes, a week ago I got an email from my  "ex currently" coordinator , saying that DCL contacted her, and on friday they contacted a teacher that used to work with me , then 2 others references. OMG! it makes me soooo freaking nervous, I KNOW my references wont let me down, but i cant avoid the butterflies in my stomach.
I also noticed that i gave them the wrong email of one of my references, but i had the chance to correct it, thank god!
It was faster than I thought it would be, I hope that's a good sign!
after this step , the next one will be the very expesive medical exams. cant wait to have my departure date!

It was all started by a mouse...

Hello folks !!

I've decided to create this blog to share with you all the ups and downs ( mostly ups , I hope)  of my newest adventure, I'm gonna be a member of a Disney Cruise ,  as  Youth Activities Counselor.

I have some wait to do before going on board , but since anxiety is my last name, I can't help but only think about it, dream about it ,and be crazy about it, I KNOW it wont be like vacation, and I am SURE I'll work more than a horse (Brazilian way of saying I'll work my b***  off), but man!!! its a freaking Disney Cruise!, so I'm sure I'll have some fun along the way, 

I won't be able to post a lot of  things like, my work routine and etc, cause we have to sign an "confidentiality agreement" and I don't want to get in trouble because of that, or kill anyone's dreams (haha) , so I guess this blog will be more about me (you've been warned)...

Oh ! and yes, this blog will be in English, not a perfect English ,but it will be in English,  Why ? you may ask, first of all,  because I want to, and because in my mind,  this might close the circle of nosy people a little bit more, and because there's no such a thing as practicing your second language too much, OF COURSE it will have mistakes, feel free to correct them, but be nice =P

In order not to go crazy waiting for my departure date ( in august I guess) I'm teaching, teaching what dear li? English hehe, to a German guy, I'm gonna get more classes on Saturdays too, so I can make money to pay for medical exams, and visa stuff, cause I already spent most part of the money I brought, (I was in the US since 2 weeks ago, for 6 months,  but this is for some other post) and if my ex hosts are reading this, Thank you guys, I miss you all ;( .

well, that is it for now.
